What's the difference between a cleansing balm and a cleansing oil?
Both cleansing balms and cleansing oils are effective as the first step of a double cleanse, but have a different feel on the skin. Cleansing oil (like our Ginseng Cleansing Oil) is liquid while cleansing balm is solid, so choose what feels best for you.

I had quite a few oil or balm cleansers and this one is so far the best. It removes makeup and impurities easily. I follow up with refreshing green plum cleanser. Together they leave my skin squeaky clean without irritating or excess drying. Little goes a long way!

This product is actually a holy grail in my routine now. I use it in two ways: 1) on my face as the 1st step in my double cleanse. I dont do double cleanse every night, but when i do, this is great as the oil cleanser portion! 2) I use it on my scalp before my clarifying shampoo. Unfortunately we have super hard water, so i get mineral-bound sebum pellets on my head. They are so annoying! And this balm has been the holy grail product for me managing it. It melts super easily, and is therefore easy to get between my thick hair and actually onto my scalp to soften/melt the oil (since oil dissolves oil). I've tried other oil cleansers for my scalp, but the texture isnt right, so sometimes they end up 'tugging' which is the last thing i want on my scalp! Gotta protect the hairs!
As a contact allergen girlie (balsam of peru), I LOVE that this is fragrance-free, and is *actually* BoP safe (there are no 'chemical cousins'). So for me, this product is a rare unicorn. Thank you Beauty of Joseon!!<3
